Buffalo, NY Chemical Distributor is seeking warehouse staff. The company receives , stores, repackages, and distributes chemicals and materials.

•  Worker will read customer orders, shipping oprders or requistitions, determine the items to be moved, gathered and distributed.
• Convey materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas by use of forlift, pallet jacks, barrel carts and manual lifting
• Load and unload vehicles
• Assemble customer orders
• Repackage chemicals  in various product containers
• Mark materials
• Handle chemicals according to proper procedures and regulations
• Maintain proper housekeeping
• Salvage damaged or used material in accordance with proper procedures and regulations
• Wear appropriate personal protective equipmentand respirator aas needed
• Open bales, crates and other containers
• Record amounts of materials or itmes received or distributed
• Weigh or count items
• Service walk in customers, carry-outs

Skills required:

• Language skills, ability to red and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instrictions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine report
• Mathematical skills
• Forklift experience and certification
• Physical demands-Worker must be able to lift 50 lbs
• Vision abilities-close vision, distance, color, periperal, and depth perception

  WORKING CONDITIONS

  Employee will be required to work 40 hours per week with overtime required as necessary. The work week is nonnally Monday-Friday with hours set by the General Manager/Warehouse Foreman. Some Saturday hours may be included as necessary.
