Part time Accounts Payable Clerk for office located in Lancaster, NY. Hours - 10:00 am to 2:00 pm – hours can be flexible - Monday - Friday - 20 hours per week -Temp to hire position - pay rate - $22.00 per hour. Attendance is crucial! Please submit your resume for immediate consideration.
Requirements.
2-3 years Accounts Payable experience
2-3 years Excel, Word and Data Entry experience (must be proficient)
Sage experience is a plus!
Responsibilities:
- Process accounts payable invoices and ensure accurate coding and approval
- Prepare and process weekly check runs
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date vendor records
- Assist with month-end close activities related to accounts payable
- Collaborate with internal departments to resolve invoice discrepancies or issues
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree in Accounting or related field preferred
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in accounts payable
- Proficient in using Excel, Word & Data Entry
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
- Knowledge of technical accounting concepts, including debits/credits and journal entries
- Familiarity with Paychex or similar payroll processing systems is a plus
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
